Berry boba ‘tea’

Bubble tea is very popular all over the world, so we wanted to give you a low-sugar option you can make at home. The kids really love the idea of little DIY chocolate pearls at the bottom their milk tea that they can suck up with their straws!
Serves: 2
Time to make: 20 mins

Variations

Make it low FODMAP: Swap the milk for lactose-free milk and replace the honey with maple syrup.

Make it gluten free: Check cocoa is gluten free.

Make it vegan: Replace the milk with soy milk or any other plant milk, and the honey with maple syrup.

HFG tip

You can buy tapioca pearls from Asian supermarkets but it’s fun making your own boba for your tea, and the texture is much nicer!

NOTE: If you have a nut allergy and are using packaged goods in recipes, please check the allergen warning on the packet regarding nuts.
