President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden touched down in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, on Wednesday for a final family getaway before the tense 2024 election year.

The first couple were accompanied on Air Force One by 19-year-old granddaughter Natalie Biden, the eldest of late son Beau Biden's children.

The Bidens have been known to spend New Year's Eve in St. Croix, a family tradition they solidified last year. After ringing in what is sure to be a difficult year for the family, the first couple will enjoy a few peaceful moments in the Caribbean before returning to Washington, D.C.

With all eyes on the Bidens in the upcoming election cycle, the first couple has been intentional about packing in family time over the holidays, also spending Thanksgiving and Christmas out of town with loved ones.

This past Saturday, the president's children were spotted leaving the White House en route to Camp David for Christmas. First daughter Ashley Biden walked outside with her brother, Hunter Biden, and Hunter's young son, Beau. They were followed by members of Hunter's family, with the president seeing each one out.
